Art, architecture, design, business, and the legacy of an unusual three-story building all converge in Cinema Supply, a high-end work and art venue in Chelsea. The reinvention of 217 West 21st Street takes its name from the Star Cinema Supply Company, the long-time occupant and family business that supported cinemas worldwide for decades. The newly renovated 18,000 square foot building sports a soothingly modern restatement of its space and offers those in business and the arts who value aesthetic excellence a perfect oasis to work, gather, or simply get away. 

The distinctive warehouse building was originally a lumberyard in the 20s, which evolved into Star Cinema Supply for the movie industry in the 70s and 80s. Later in the 90s, the building was used by local artists that were attracted to its abundant natural light and quiet charm.

Today, after a restoration that mindfully preserved the history of the building while also using old-world construction methods and materials, Cinema Supply operates as a private and unique space of exceptional quality.
